Biography

As a soulful singer, songwriter & guitarist, Tim shows no signs of slowing down. In the past he received a well deserved Summy Award (Blues Man of the Year) from the Tacoma Seattle Blues Foundation and whether taking time off to record new music or gigging locally or out of town he always stays busy.

The band has opened for Albert Collins, played with Robert Cray in his earlier years and split the bill with the likes of the Jefferson Starship, Jimmy Thackery, Pinetop Perkins, the Queen of New Orleans Marva Wright and many local legends.

Tim’s legendary “Blues Jams” are well known by professional musicians and year after year are real crowd pleasers. With a sound and style of his own he continues to work on new material and upcoming projects,  doing what he loves to do most - create music.

Based out of the Pacific NW area the Tim Hall Band has played many clubs, concert halls & festivals with an endless repertoire of songs bridging the line between soul, funk, R&B & some smoking hot blues!

Performances can range from a power trio to a 7 piece band. The main rhythm section holding down the beat is Darrel Warren (DW) on drums & Terry Toporke on bass playing some funky grooves. If you are looking to get your sax on, we have several seasoned local musicians that add to the mix along with horns & percussion – depending on the venue.

Throughout the years the Tim Hall Band has been critically acclaimed for their own original material and has released four CD’s: After Hours, Ghost in the Closet, Runnin’ with the Blues & the most recent release Light it up Tonight.
